Hospital locked down following bomb threat

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Police in Western Massachusetts are trying to find out who called in a bomb threat to a hospital on Monday, forcing a 20hour lockdown.The call came in around 1 p.m. at North Adams Regional Hospital. The building was not evacuated, but crews went from room to room searching for any type of explosive, but did not find anything.Ambulances and new patients were sent to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield and Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington during the lockdown.
